HOW TO CONNECT PORTABLE DEVICES


There are reports of troubles connecting portable devices to MAZ/PC-ALP.
Here is a short compatibility list of devices reported. This is compiled from several reports and not necessary to be applicable to your devices.

As you can see above, problems occurs only when you use phone jack output. Use of cradle solves the problem.

It seems remote control which requires DC (Direct Current) supply from the device affect MAZ/PC-ALP since it's DIN input is directly connected IC input without de-cuppling capacitor.

There is possibilities that the problem is solved if you insert de-cuppling capacitor which should be 1-10 micro farad, 16V or more and non-polar.
I had no chance to test it since my Gigabeat works fine.
